چکیده
This work was aimed at; investigating a clean method of removing waste leaves from the stream, converting them into fatty acids, biodiesel feedstock, or upgrading to deoxygenated fuels for higher energy content. Waste Gmelina arborea were collected, cleaned, and pulverized with ceramic mortar pestle. A 50g thermally hydrolyzed over 0.75g H2SO4, NaOH, ZnCl2 catalysts 500mL distilled water on GallenKamp hot plate magnetic stirrer at 100oC 30 minutes. The extracts filtered sheet cloth, dried 0.2% anhydrous MgSO4 weighed. Each extract analyzed gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC-MS) machine determine its components compositions. quantities acids extracted 228.30g, 184.30g 118.43g respectively. estimated found be 240.02g, 193.8g 124.39g Also, bio-hydrogenated gasoline (BHG) diesel (BHD) 192.27g, 154.97g 87.37g process yields more than conventional seed oils. would economical achieve biofuel economy use lipids oil seeds. Development of feedstocks for cellulosic biofuels
The inclusion of cellulosic ethanol in the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 and the revised Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS2) has spurred development of the first commercial scale cellulosic ethanol biorefineries. These efforts have also revived interest in the development of dedicated energy crops selected for biomass productivity and for properties that facilitate conversion o...
متن کاملFeedstocks for lignocellulosic biofuels.
In 2008, the world produced approximately 87 gigaliters of liquid biofuels, which is roughly equal to the volume of liquid fuel consumed by Germany that year. Essentially, all of this biofuel was produced from crops developed for food production, raising concerns about the net energy and greenhouse gas effects and potential competition between use of land for production of fuels, food, animal f...
متن کاملEssential fatty acids extracted from Portulaca oleracea L. leaves
Background & Aim: Purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.), belongs to the Portulacaceace family, grows in many parts of Iran. Results of previous studies were indicated purslane is a rich source of essential fatty acids of omega-3 and omega-6. Portulaca oleracea is a widespread weed, being the eighth common plants of the world. The Aim of current study was to compare the essential f...
متن کاملPlant triacylglycerols as feedstocks for the production of biofuels.
Triacylglycerols produced by plants are one of the most energy-rich and abundant forms of reduced carbon available from nature. Given their chemical similarities, plant oils represent a logical substitute for conventional diesel, a non-renewable energy source. However, as plant oils are too viscous for use in modern diesel engines, they are converted to fatty acid esters. The resulting fuel is ...
